HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
To the most amazing man around! thank you dad for all that you have done to push me along this path of life in the right direction. thank you for encouraging me always and being my main source of ambition. thank you for letting me know anything is possible if i try. thank you for protecting me and keeping me safe. yet, thank you for putting me out in the world to learn things on my own. thank you for making me laugh at any moment in time whether appropriate or not. i love you with everything. you'll always be the most important man in my life. xoxo always.

time to catch up with me.
well i have started summer school and i kind of really like it. its weird. its my microbiology lab and its disgustingly amazing to me how bacteria is EVERYWHERE! literally. i have cultured various bacteria from things like the toilet, pond water, fountain water, human skin, mouth, door knobs, etc. I have successfully cultured shigella, fecal coliform, staphylococcus, streptococcus, and salmonella. kinda cool huh? then today, i made my very first agar plate. i guess you can say im kinda proud of myself!
this is an agar plate with cultured bacteria!
another exciting thing i have been fortunate enough to do was assist in a free gingival graft! it you are unaware of what this is it is a gum graft for exposed root of the tooth. i felt weird assisting in the procedure. i had never been exposed to something in the office like this before. in fact for a moment in time i was unsure if i could be a dentist anymore cause i didnt know if i was capable of doing it. i guess its just one of those things you have to get used to. anyways here is a video of the procedure i sat in. it is graphic so i understand if you do not want to watch but mom and dad, please watch. or at least try. just because i want you to see what i got to take part in and experience!
sunday i went and saw bridesmaides with alexis. sooo freaking funny i totally recommend it to everyone! anyways i have homework and have to be in at work tomorrow at seven ugh! loves!
